Fahn

The conscious series (2021- 2022) explores ambiguity and pareidolia. The works are based on automatic drawings, and play with 'pareidolia' - the phenomenon of seeing patterns where they don't exist, such as a rabbit in the clouds. These works are further developed with the concept of the 'perspectival flip', the flitting of the mind between many possible interpretations of the work, enabled by the ambiguous grid. The mind shifts from topography to portrait to elevation. Creating a liminal moment in perception, a conscious moment.
